White House Rejects Iranian Reports of Maritime Agreement, Calls Claims “Made Up”

Iranian state television aired reports saying that an agreement in draft form has been struck between Iran and the United States to reinstate shipments through the Strait of Hormuz and end the naval blockades. Nonetheless, the White House has dismissed the reports saying that they are entirely made up and there is no such agreement. According to President Donald Trump, although Iran is in dire need of a deal due to their failing economy, he does not have to make haste and would not hesitate to go to war. The tension started in February when attacks on Iran were executed by the United States and Israel. This tension has contributed to higher energy prices and disruptions in supply chains worldwide. However, Trump is determined to prevent Iran from getting nuclear weapons.
